Mohs micrographic surgery is a highly effective technique for removing certain types of skin cancer, most commonly BCC and SCC, particularly on the face. After Mohs excision, the resulting defect requires specialist plastic surgical reconstruction.
Mr Thacoor works closely with Mohs dermatologists to plan and execute reconstruction that restores both form and function. Depending on the size and location of the defect, reconstruction may involve direct closure, a local skin flap, a skin graft, or a combination of techniques.
Common areas
Nose, eyelids, ears, lips, forehead, cheeks and scalp — areas where careful reconstruction is essential for an excellent functional and aesthetic result.
What to expect
