Benefits

Natural, balanced ear positionPermanent correctionScars hidden behind earSuitable for adults and childrenSignificant boost to confidenceDay case procedure

Pinnaplasty, also known as otoplasty or ear pinning, corrects prominent or asymmetric ears by reshaping the cartilage and repositioning the ear closer to the head. It is a highly effective, lasting procedure that can be performed in adults and children (usually from the age of five once the ears are fully developed).

Mr Thacoor makes small incisions behind the ear to access and sculpt the cartilage, creating or enhancing the natural antihelical fold and reducing the conchoscaphal angle as appropriate. Sutures are used to hold the ears in their new position.

  • Procedure takes approximately 1–2 hours
